We started the day off with a Princess breakfast in Norway. The first four pictures are of Norway. The fourth picture is where we ate. Our breakfast was at 8 am and that is when the park opened so we were able to go in about ten minutes before it opened. It was fun to walk around when no one was there. It was like we had the park all to ourselves. It wasn't even that busy at the restaurant. The food was probably one of my least favorites, but it was decent and fun atmosphere.
The showcase didn't open until 11 so after breakfast we headed to some rides. Epcot is more of a learning center so there isn't very many rides, but we went on a few and then headed to the showcase right when it opened.
Canada was the first country we were able to see and it was beautiful. There was a 360 movie that we were able to watch. The screen went around the whole room and if you weren't careful it made you a little sick. Martin Short was the narrator on the film and so he made it pretty funny. It was only 15 minutes, but it was interesting to learn about Canada and see how beautiful it is.
United Kingdom was next. It had little shops and beautiful gardens.
This was my attempt at looking fierce while sword fighting. It didn't really work.
Alice was in the United Kingdom and we were able to get our picture with her. She was the cutest character we met the whole trip. She was so fun to talk to and did a great job at playing the character.
Here is Alice trying to give Kelly and I directions to Italy. As you can see, she didn't really know.
France had a a video that we watched. Not all of the countries did, only a couple. It had some shops and the most delicious Pastry Shop. I loved how they made the streets look like you were really there. Disney did a great job at making you feel like you were really at each country.
We got a delicious chocolate eclair and strawberry tart. Kelly got a flaky vanilla cake thing. I really don't know what it was, but it was probably my favorite. My tart was delicious also!
Morocco
We ate lunch in Japan. I got teriyaki chicken and it was good. Japan had a big store that sold all sorts of little trinkets that were fun to look at.
The American Adventure was next and we didn't watch the video here. When we got there, there was a group of men singing songs and marching. They were fun to watch. It was pretty warm this day and I kept thinking how hot they must be in their uniforms.
Italy didn't really have stores to look at, but it had restaurants so it wasn't one that we spent a lot of time in. We just took a couple pictures and then left. I did like how they have tables on patios, it looked just like pictures of Italy I have seen. I really want to go there someday.
CJ really wanted to try to do the object in the hand picture and for the life of me, I could not explain it well enough. So this is the best shot we got.
Germany was really cool. There was this huge area that was built for little trains and they were going all around. They were fun to watch. It made me think of my brother Scott. He loves trains and I really hope one day that he can build something cool like this. There was lots of shops and a candy store that had caramel everything. I was in heaven! I love caramel and could eat it all day long. It had tons of Werther's candies too. I bought a caramel cookie and a big block of caramel with our snack credits. They were delicious! Everyone else bought a treat so we were able to sample even more yumminess!
This castle was only $35,000. Any takers?
China had a video that we watched that was cool to see different parts of the country. I loved how the buildings look. I think China and Japan would be fun to visit just to see all the buildings. They are so different then what we see.
Mexico had a boat ride inside that was fun, kind of like It's a Small World.
We were able to meet Donald Duck and poor little Beckett just did not want his picture taken with him. It was rather funny.
Day 6 was our down day. We had breakfast scheduled at the Grand Floridian Hotel at the 1900 Fare Park Restaurant. It is a beautiful hotel and I would love to stay there one day. This breakfast was a very delicious buffet. While we were waiting for our turn to be seated a bride came out and was getting pictures done on the grand staircase. It was so fun to watch her. How would that be to get married at Disney World? Totally awesome!
Since we could do whatever this day, CJ and I decided to go back to Hollywood Studios. There were some shows that we weren't able to see when we were there and we really enjoyed this park. We of course went on Toy Story Mania again! We saw Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, and the Indiana Jones Show. They were all great. On the way out the parade was starting so we watched it and it was so fun. They had so many great characters in it so I took lots of pictures!
After the park CJ wanted to go walk around the Boardwalk because that is where the ESPN Restaurant is. We took a boat ride from HS there and that was fun.
There were beautiful hotels around the Boardwalk. The really expensive ones. They looked like they would be fun to stay at too!
After that we headed back to the hotel to rest and get some much needed sleep!
