Busy Week

It's been a busy time since we've been back. We are still trying to get adjusted to work and trying to get everything done. We have been trying to find a house, but haven't been spending too much time doing that lately. We have been to a few birthday parties and are having fun being with family. We went to Cayman's birthday party last week and she got a lot of fun gifts. Oh to be two again.

Here is Cayman with her new kitchen, apron, tea set and pretend food. Her and Cohen were so funny together playing.Cohen and I.

Cayman eating her pretend hot dog, she wasn't too happy that I was trying to hold her while she was trying to play with all her new toys.

On Thursday night, Grandma was out of town so Grandpa called me to go to a Jazz game. We ate at Crown Burger first. I missed that place and then we enjoyed the game. It was fun spending a night with Grandpa. Cory was at the game as well, but he was sitting in a fancy suite. Lucky him.
Sunday we went to our Nephew's primary program and then went for a drive. Here is the new Draper Temple. It is almost done.
Here is the house we are going to buy. I am hoping it will fit our whole family in there. Yeah right that house is huge!!! We couldn't even fit the whole house in the picture because it was so big. A house down the street was 1.2 million and was way smaller than this one. I sure don't know why you need a house that big, unless you have 50 kids.
Here is a shot of another one of the houses up by the Draper Temple. Just huge houses. It is kind of fun to look at them though. Maybe one day we will have a house that big...........

First Week Back

It has been a busy week. I started my job on Monday and there is a lot of work to be done. I was a little surprised on Monday to find out how much stuff needed to be fixed. It will be a challenge. It will be an exciting challenge and the new team will be good. Jackie will start her job on Wednesday as she took off a week to find us a house. She has done a great job and we have found one house we really like. We are nervous to make such a big commitment. We need to decide soon if we want to put an offer down on one of the houses.
We've spent most evenings with family and it has been fun to see everyone again. Yesterday I went to the University of Utah football game with Cory, Ryan, and Amber. It sure was great to be back at a game live. I sure did miss the games. It is also fun being around people that understand the rivalry.
Ryan and I. It is also great to be cheering for a team that is 8 and 0. Go UTES!!!!
Last night Jackie went to the Real Salt Lake game with Scott, Kristy, Kyle, and Tim was there also. She had a great time. The stadium looks really nice and it is just down the street from her parents house. I was lucky enough to stay home and watch football and baseball. I watched three football games and then the baseball play-off game all at the same time. It's been a long time since we have had cable in the house.
Jackie went down to a corn maze with my family this week and there was a section for the little kids to play. Jackie got right in there and played with them. Down below is my cute niece and nephew. Cayman and Cohen. Cayman loves to say Jackie's name but just won't say my name. It will be fun to be around all the nieces and nephews.
Here is to another hectic week. Hopefully it will slow down here soon and we will be able to have some time to relax.

Back in Utah

It sure was a busy week. Monday was my last day at Glenwood and it was very hard to say good-bye. Gladys made me a little video of pictures and co-workers saying good-bye to me. It was really nice and by the end of our morning meeting everyone was crying because it was so hard to say good-bye. Jackie and Nellie cleaned up the apartment and did some more packing while I was working. Tuesday morning we drove down to the Long Beach Airport to pick up Cory, Kimmy, and Scott who were flying in to help us pack and drive back to Utah. Jackie and I stopped off at Cafe Mimi's and had a great breakfast. After we picked them up we headed to Disneyland, because as Jackie says, you can't leave California without going to Disneyland one more time.
This is us in California Adventures. They have the Park decorated so cool for Halloween. They had a garden of carrots, corn, pumpkins etc.... but instead of being the correct vegetables it was all candy corn.
Jackie and Kimmy with their Mickey Ears.
Cory and I with our Grumpy and Nemo hats on, and no we did not buy these or wear these in the park.
Kimmy and Jackie in front of some cool carved pumpkins.

Us in the tea-cups, Cory and I did our best to spin the tea-cup as fast as we could to try to make Jackie sick. She did have a hard time walking afterwards.
The boys, Cory, me, and Scott. Kind of funny Scott was booed a few times because of his BYU gear, I was cheered through out the park. It was funny how many people made comments about our hats. One ride operator said I sure wish I didn't have to let that BYU fan on the ride. It made me laugh through out the day.
On the Screaming ride and no Cory and Jackie did not coordinate the nose picking. Pretty funny they did the same thing.
Tower of Terror, just so scary. Guy in front of us was a Ute fan and said to us, do you see that BYU fan over there, and I said ya, he is with us.
Splash Mountain was awesome. I said that I didn't want to sit in the front again as I am the one that always does. Cory volunteered as he said I never get wet on Splash Mtn, needless to say, he got soaked as did everyone but me. If you can see, I was as close to Jackie as possible so she kept me dry. Cory was wet the rest of the day.

Everyone getting in on my posing thing. Cory seemed to enjoy the nose picking pose through out the day.
All of us at dinner that night at ESPN ZONE. Thanks to Cory, Kimmy, and Scott for coming out to help us. It was sure nice of you guys and I sure hope you guys had fun too.
Nellie and Jackie holding Mickey's hand.
Last Friday we had missed our Mission Reunion and I was sad about not being there. Sister Mendez emailed me and said they would be in Anaheim and wondered if we would come down and see them. We were excited to spend some time with President and Sister Mendez. Tyler, Spenny, and I all served together and we all work together, so needless to say our wives have heard plenty of mission stories, but none of them had met the Mendez'. We all drove down together and had dinner with them. It was so fun spending some time with them and catching up on things. I was also glad that Jackie was able to meet them.
This is the only picture we took of the move. We arrived in Utah Thursday night and unloaded the truck at my Mom's house to store things while we look for a house to buy. It was a long drive and we didn't have any problems. Everything went smoothly. Friday we spent the day with family and looking for a house. It sure is cold and lucky for us it even snowed last night. I hope you caught the sarcasm. I already miss the California weather. We had a long fun week and enjoyed our time with family and friends. Thanks to everyone for their help this week!!!

Last Weekend in California

We just got back from watching a Sunset at the beach probably for the last time. It's sad to think our time here in California has come to an end. We have had so much fun here and have done so many different things. It has been such a big adventure. We have learned so much and have grown so close together as a newlywed couple. We couldn't have asked for a better 2 and 1/2 years. It is ending up being a lot harder to say good-bye than we thought it would. Here are some pictures from this last weekend.
Me and my cute sweet-heart
I think this picture is funny.
Just enjoying ourselves.
Here is a picture of us and some of our amazing friends, left to right it is Jen, Tyler, us, Baby Logan, Spenny, and Nellie. I came out to work for Tyler and I couldn't have asked for a better job for the last two years. He ended up being my boss for only a year and half but the last year has been Jackie's boss. He has been the most amazing person to work for and we have had so much fun out side of work. Between the beach, baseball games, house shopping, furniture shopping, and all of the tv shows we watched on DVD together. He has been a great friend and we will miss him and his new wife Jen. Spenny was my old mission companion/neighbor growing up and we talked him into moving out here to work with us. We feel so bad leaving him, Nellie and Logan. We have had so much fun with them. We just laugh and laugh and just enjoy each other's company, other than when I am beating Nellie in games. I think we for sure will go through Spenny and Nellie withdrawals.
Me, Jackie, Nellie, and Spenny after watching the Ute game last Thursday.
Here is us eating pizza and treats while watching the game. Our other friend Andy is in this picture.
Lastly, it will be tough to say goodbye to my co-workers. They have been our family for the last two years or so. I have worked with such an amazing team. I know it is going to be hard to go to work tomorrow and say goodbye to them. Above is April and Gladys. They have been my office staff. We have had so much fun together, telling stories, laughing, and working hard. This year we earned the award for having one of the Top Business Office's in the company. Out of the 70 facilities only 7 or so received the award. It is so nice to go out on a high note. Not only have I had a great staff but our team at Glenwood took home the Best Therapy Team, Best Nursing Staff, Safety Award, and the Economic Engine Award. On top of that we earned the Ensign Flag which is the top honor you can earn in our Company. We have earned it 3 of the past 4 years. It has been a honor working with them and I will miss everyone at Glenwood a ton.
Here is Goodbye to California and we look forward to our new adventure back in Utah. It will be fun to be back around family and friends. Hope to see everyone soon and hope to come back and visit all of our wonderful friends in California!!
