New chair and some fun in a box!

Jackson loves sitting in little kid chairs. Our neighbor kids have chairs and when we are outside Jackson always wants to sit in them. We started looking to see if there was a cute chair we could get him for inside the house. C.J. found this adorable Mickey Mouse chair! Of course I loved it and really wanted to get it for him. It was a lot of money so I thought we better not and didn't really think about it again. While C.J. was at work he text me and said he had a surprise coming to the house, but that I couldn't open the box until he got home. I just new it was Jackson's chair. When the box arrived, it was very large and said target.com so I knew that is what it had to be. I told C.J. that I was going to open it so he better come home from work early if he wanted to see Jackson's reaction. I was able to get him to leave around 4:30! I was so excited! C.J. got it set up in the Living Room and then I brought Jackson out and he loved it! He was so excited to sit in it and kept doing the funniest facial expressions. It was a great purchase, this is something he will use everyday for a long time!

Jackson's favorite thing to do while he is in his chair is to eat cheerios. For the first couple of days when he would get up in the morning or wake up from his naps, we would come into the family room and he would point to his chair and just sit. It is so cute! I love my little man!

Who knew that another huge highlight of getting a present would be the box it came in.  Jackson loves to get in the box and thinks it is hilarious. Cory and Cooper came over one night and Cooper and Jackson had so much fun. They were so funny to watch and just laughed and laughed. They would duck down and then jump up. We were laughing pretty hard watching them. I wish I was that easily entertained...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone! Our day was so nice and relaxing. The Easter Bunny came for Jackson. He got a new church outfit, two books, and a Disney sing-a-long movie. He loves books and was so excited to read his new ones.
It is so nice to have the reminder every year of what Easter is really about. It is something that I don't think about enough. When it is Easter you really remember and I am so grateful for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to know that Christ lives and loves us all. He died for us so that we may live with him again. How blessed we are to have that understanding and knowledge. Makes getting through life a little easier I think.

After church we went to Connie's for dinner with Cory and July. Grandma Connie had toys outside for the kids to gather up. Jackson didn't really understand it all, but he had fun walking around with Daddy. Jackson got books and toys. We had fun hanging out with family and Jackson had so much fun with Cayman and Cooper. We tried to get some really good pictures of Jackson, but he just didn't want to smile. He was the handsomest little man in his new shirt.

Pictures of Jackson

Jackson is almost 15 months old and getting more fun everyday. He is almost walking. He can take quite a few steps now, but is still a little unstable and will fall. With no shoes he does much better, but when we go outside I put his shoes on so he can get used to wearing them. Looking out the window is one of Jackson's favorite things. He will point to go out in to the living room and then point to the couch. I will open the blinds and he will just talk and growl while he looks out the window. He gets really excited if he sees a car go by.

Candice was nice enough to give us some of Cohen's old toys that he doesn't play with anymore. We got this fun car toy that has a ramp and an elevator. Jackson plays with it every single day, all day. He absolutely loves it!

My cute bug in the tub. C.J. put the letters on his back and so I had to get a picture. He is pretty cute, even from behind...

Jackson loves to pull out the wipes and Kleenex's. I now have to hide those things or else they end up all over the floor within seconds.

Jackson relaxing watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Jackson's First Haircut

Everyone kept saying that Jackson had a mullet and that he needed a haircut. I didn't want to cut his hair because then he wouldn't look like a baby anymore! He needed it very badly though so we had C.J's cousin Stephanie do it. She works at Cookie Cutters so we went while she was working to hopefully distract Jackson a little. I put him in the chair and seriously had to fight back the tears. I told Stephanie to hurry and start cutting his hair or else I was going to take him and leave! I was so sad. It just confirms my fear that my Little Jackson is growing to quickly. Jackson loved sitting in the car and did so good almost the whole time! He wanted to get out of the car about one minute before Stephanie was done, but a graham cracker easily fixed that.

I have to say that he looks very handsome with his new haircut. He now looks like a little boy instead of my baby and that makes me sad. But at least he still has those fat cheeks I get to kiss!

Sandy Aquarium

C.J. has to travel a little bit for work now and so when he goes out of town, Jackson and I go on new adventures! We decided to go to the Aquarium. I hadn't been there before and wanted to check it out to see if it was something that Jackson would end up liking. We went with my Mom and my sister Kelly. We had so much fun! Some of the pictures are bad because of the flash.

Jackson loved watching the fish swim around. He was so excited and wanted a closer look and ended up banging his head on the glass. He hit it pretty hard and cried. I felt bad, but he was fine after I distracted him with more fish!
The best part of the aquarium was definitely the penguins and the otters. The penguins were so cool to watch jump out of the water. The otters were all over the place. Jackson loved it when the otter came on top of the glass thing that Jackson and I was in. That was the highlight of the trip!
