House is Done

We had our walk through this morning and the house is done except for a few touch ups and they need to hang the shudders by the front windows. We are really happy about how it has all turned out. It looks really nice inside. We close on Thursday and hopefully everything goes smoothly because I have heard everyone seems to have some problems with the closing part. We should move in Friday night if all goes to plan.

This is our family room. I should have taken some more pictures but we were kind of in a hurry this morning.

Almost Finished

We went up tonight to have the windows measured for blinds and the outside is basically done. We need rain gutters and lights outside. We are getting close.
They also put in the kitchen counter tops. We really liked how they looked. I think they matched the cabinets really well.

The guest bathroom is all done. Shower head is in, toilet is in, counter top and sink are in.

So basically all that is left are carpets, light fixtures and whatever touch ups that are left. We are excited.

We have Cabinets

It is getting closer every day. They installed the cabinets today. Thank you to Cory and July for sending us pictures since we weren't able to make it up there tonight. I can't wait to see them this weekend. They just need to finish the outside, light fixtures, countertops, and carpet.

Here has been the project at Jane's house. Ashli has cut out all the names and we have helped put them on the wall. There are all 22 grandkids, kids, and in-laws up there. It looks really good, it is fun to see all the Johnson family names up there. It sure is a good reminder of how big the Johnson family is now.

Pictures of the House

Here is our front door, they will paint it a different color once the stucco is finished. We really like how it looks.
They put the brick up yesterday and we can't wait to see what it will look like with the stucco. The brick seems a little dark right now but I think it will look better with the stucco. The inside is coming along and I think they will be able to paint next week. It's getting closer.......

March Madness

Nothing like watching 3 games at once. Ya!!! For March Madness!!!

Disney on Ice

For Valentine's Day I had bought Jackie tickets to Disney on Ice. She really enjoys these kinds of events. Cory also bought tickets for July and Cayman. Jackie and I went to California Pizza Kitchen before the show. I really like that place. The show was a lot of fun. It was really fun to see Cayman's reactions when certain Disney Characters appeared. It was worth the price of the ticket to see her face when Tinkerbell came out on the ice. Cayman is a cutie. The show was called Minnie and Mickey's Magical Journey, they visited The Lion King, Under the Sea with the Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch (I haven't seen that show before), and Never Never Land and Peter Pan.

Cayman dressed up like a fairy, the people behind us didn't understand why all the little kids were dressed up in costumes. Everything there was expensive, 12 dollar snow cones, 10 dollar cotton candy and lemonade. I guess some day my kids will be disappointed when I don't buy all that stuff.

Dry Wall is Up

This week they put up all the dry wall. They actually did it all Friday. They also poured the cement for our back patio. We had a walk through with the Contractor and he is still saying May before it is finished. I think it will be done sooner. The cabinets should be in the house in three weeks which he said that on Monday so two weeks, and I'm thinking the painting and flooring need to be done before the cabinets get put in so we are keeping our fingers crossed it will be done some time in April. We are getting so excited. The pictures aren't great because we got there right at sunset.
