Zoo Lights!

Last year we went to Zoo Lights with Cory and July and we had so much fun that we decided to go again this year with them and Candice, Cohen and Kenzley. CJ was out of town for work again so Jackson and I went. It was way cold. I really didn't think we would last that long, but the wind stopped and it seemed much warmer after that so we stuck around for quite a while. When we got there we went straight to where Santa was and got in line. While Cory and Candice waited in line, July and I took Cayman, Cooper and Jackson to make ornaments. They were pine cones and you put little fuzz balls in it. Jackson thought it was great! He could actually do it, but then he thought it was more fun to take all the fuzzys out of the basket instead.

Cohen was being so cute with Jackson. Cohen had him laughing so hard.

Right before you see Santa, you get to write a letter to him. Jackson asked for some trains and I asked for a trip to Disneyland!! Wishful thinking....   I really didn't know how Jackson was going to react to seeing Santa and Mrs. Clause. Last year he screamed and was very afraid of him. This year he did so good! He looked at them from a safe distance and wouldn't let go of my hand. He just stared at them and then Santa asked him if he would sit on his lap for a picture. Jackson shook his head no, but Santa grabbed him and put him on his lap. He didn't cry, he just sat there twisting his binki in his mouth. It was funny, but at least we got a picture with no tears!

Cooper loves sitting with Jackson. He didn't last very long this time though, just a few minutes. I think he was too squished.

We ended the night with a ride on the carousel. Jackson loved sitting on the bench.  Jackson and I were both exhausted and frozen by the time we were done. It was a fun night and I am glad we were able to go with family.
