Just a few pictures

Jackson was wearing his sunglasses in the car and wanted to keep them on while we walked around the mall. He pushed them up on his head and it pushed his hair back. CJ and I were laughing so hard. He was definitely very stylish!

Jackson pretending to be asleep on top of CJ.

Jackson fell asleep in the car while holding his book. So cute!

Disney On Ice!

My friend Bobbi wanted to take her little girl to Disney on Ice and asked if I would be interested in taking Jackson. I wasn't sure if he would like it, but I enjoy it and thought he would probably like it so we decided to go. He was so excited to go with his friends and have them come in our car. He always gets so excited when friends get to ride with him.

I think Jackson really liked it at first. There was Lion King, Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch and then an intermission. The last half was all Peter Pan. After it was all over, I asked him if he liked it and he said no. Captain Hook was scary. He said, "Hook's not nice." I asked him about watching the other characters though and seeing Mickey, Minnie and Goofy and it being so fun and he just kept saying no. When CJ asked him about it that night, he said the same thing. He didn't like it because Hook was scary.  I think he enjoyed it though and I know he had fun being with his friends. Everything is better with friends and I am so grateful Jackson has made so many on our wonderful street!

Jackson's First Jazz Game!

July got free Jazz tickets from her work so we decided to go with them and take Jackson to his first game. We sat at the very top, last row in the whole place. It was quite the hike to our seats, but Jackson was so excited once we got in there and saw Cooper. He did so great through the whole thing. He had so much fun sitting by Cooper and eating popcorn.

These cute little stinkers would not look at me when I tried to take a picture. As soon as they saw me hold up the camera, they would look down and laugh hysterically. They thought they were so funny. I love these two boys!!

Halloween!

Last year was a battle getting Jackson into his costume. He didn't like it and after a lot of talking he finally put it on. This year, he didn't even want to buy a costume. We kept asking him who he would like to be and he kept saying,"No Halloween! No trick or treating!" We would tell him he could get candy and he still said no. Every time we talked about it, he just said no. He had finally said he wanted to be Buzz when we were talking with Cooper about it. When we went to the store and showed him costumes and the Buzz one, he got all upset and said he didn't want it. So instead of spending money on a costume that we know would have been a struggle to get him in, we just put on his Utah jersey so he could be a "football player."
We started the night out by having our annual Halloween dinner at the Preston's house. The whole street is invited and this year we had a ton of people come! It was so much fun.  Then all the kids were ready to go trick or treating. Jackson was excited when he saw the other kids go. He went to two houses and was done. We would say,"Let's go to this house and get more candy!" His response was,"I already have some!" He was content with his couple pieces. It was making CJ and I laugh so hard. We thought maybe if he went with Cooper he would get more into it. When Cooper got to our street though, he still didn't care. We were able to get him to go to a few houses, but he wouldn't take candy from anybody. CJ had to get it and hand it to him.

We decided that it wasn't worth pushing. If Jackson was done then lets be done! We decided to go home and we really only went to about six houses. When we got to our house, the door was locked. I was the last one who had used the key and I had gone in and left it on the counter and locked the door when I left. Below is Jackson and I waiting while CJ went to his brothers house and got a house key from them. We weren't sure they had one, but thankfully they did and live so close! CJ just kept shaking his head at me. I just made Halloween a little more adventurous!

We went to my sister, Holly's house because my Mom had come up and made spudnut doughnuts! They are the absolute best so we had to go get some. We hung out at their house for a little bit and then decided to go home and get Jackson in bed. It was a fun day spent with friends and family. Maybe next year Jackson will want to dress up and trick or treat.

Love this picture! My two cute boys!

Park City Fun!

Our neighbor Todd wanted to do an overnighter with some of our friends from our street, so he planned it and we went! We went up to Park City in the afternoon and walked around the outlet stores for a while. We went to dinner at Cafe Rio and then headed to the hotel to swim and hang out. The pool was outside and felt warm, but not warm enough for me to get in! It was cold outside, and I thought Jackson would not want to get in. Earlier in the day he had said he didn't want to go swimming, but once he saw his friends with their swimsuits, he was all for it! He had so much fun swimming with CJ. After a while he was done though and hated getting out because it was so cold. I took him inside to get him bathed and jammies on while everyone finished up.

We got an awesome deal from ksl deals and stayed at Sun Dial Resort in a one bedroom suite. Jackson didn't want to sleep in the pack n' play so he actually slept with me and CJ slept in the twin bed in the sitting room. Our room was huge. It had a fully stocked kitchen, dining table and a nice sitting area with a fireplace!

After everyone was done swimming, they all came to our room to play games. The kids had fun running around and watching a show while the adults played. Jackson loved being somewhere with his "friends." When he woke up in the morning, he kept asking where his friends were. It made me laugh, but he sure had fun!  We had a great time with our friends and couldn't ask for better ones. We love where we live and all the great people we have met.
