It's been rough here the past couple of weeks. We went from 70 degree weather with sunny blue skies to 60 degree weather with non stop rain. I didn't know that it could rain so much. We have had days and days of rain. Haven't been able to keep a clean car for a couple of weeks now. Sure is a pain living by the ocean and in a place that has crappy weather like it does down here. Just kidding, yes it has rained a lot but our bad weather has been nothing like what the folks up in Utah have had. Have I ever mentioned, I sure don't miss driving in the snow. Well if I haven't, I DON'T MISS DRIVING IN THE SNOW. Jackie had an interesting experience at work. I get this phone call asking to go help over at Victoria Care Center (that's where Jackie works) because it was flooding over there. They said the fire department and news stations were there. So I hurry over there and this is what I find.
So they have this courtyard in the middle of the building that the drains were clogged so the courtyard filled up with water which then leaked through the sliding glass doors which then flooded 16 rooms. So they had to move 29 patients to other parts of the building. I get over there and find where all the action is and all I see is firemen, and then all of sudden here comes Jackie pushing water out of the rooms. She was right in there with the firemen. Her pants were wet up to like mid calf and she was soaked. So I grabbed a squiggy broom and started helping push out water as the firemen vacuumed up water. After a couple of hours for the most part everything was cleaned up. The rooms are still empty as there is still some clean up to do, but in a couple weeks everything will be back to normal. I will say I was proud of my wife, she sure showed those firemen how to work. Well that has been our exciting week. On a side note I had my coaching debut and I will have to say we won 42 to 18. Undefeated as a coach. I'm pretty happy. So here's to a long grueling season (a whole two games). It has been fun. Hope the snow is finding you well!!!

Jackie is awesome, don't you think? And how did all the cared for folks feel about all this? One time, at Tyson's care center, the fire alarm went off and this old woman was yelling to Tyson, "Glen!! Glen! We've got to get the kids out of here!!" :)he he
Oh Jackie, you are my hero. I wish I could be like you. I wonder if the firefighters were looking at you and thinking man, she is hot and a hard worker. You the Women!!!
