Swimming Lessons

Jackson did swim lessons for the first time this year. The first day he screamed while the teacher was holding his hand and walking him in the pool. Jackson had his arm out reaching for CJ and I, and I felt horrible! His teacher had to get another girl to help him. She picked him up and carried him the rest of the way. He took lessons with our neighbors little boy who is his age and I thought that would help him, but it didn't at first. Thankfully, after about three minutes he was smiling and laughing. His lessons were Monday through Friday for two weeks. The first week, he would say he didn't want to go, but he would get dressed and get in the car just fine. He never cried again. He did get to the point that he would say "Yeah!" when I said he had swim lessons. He did so much better then I thought he would do. He didn't like swimming that much or getting his face in any water at all! 

He passed his class and I was so proud of him. He did awesome. Camille and Lauren were there on his last day and watched him. He was so excited!

Lee isn't happy in this picture, but this was the first time he sat up by himself. It didn't last long, but he did it at least. At about 6 months he really got it down. 

We went on a walk with my Mom, and sister Holly and her family. We went to Farmington Trail and I had never been on part of it. It was crazy how much cotton was everywhere. It seriously covered  everything and looked like snow. It was so pretty. Jackson loved being with his cousins and he really liked seeing two bison and dear that are a part of Lagoon. There was a baby bison that was jumping all around. It was so cute to watch. We ended at Farmington Pond and watched some kids on the rope swing and then headed back home.

The next day we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and watched the Joseph Smith movie that is playing there. It was amazing. The story is so sad and yet uplifting in a way. This man went through so much for us and died for his beliefs. I know the life of Joseph Smith, but it was still so shocking to see how people can treat someone because of their differences. It is disheartening that there is still this cruelty in our world today.  I am so grateful for this gospel that Joseph Smith fought so bravely for. It brings me happiness and peace in my life.

5 Months Old!

Our little Lee is getting so big. He is such a happy baby. He still isn't sleeping through the night, but now he is only getting up once to eat. We tried cereal for the first time and it was so messy. Lee can't figure out the spoon at all! It was quite entertaining. After about a month of trying the cereal, he finally got the spoon! Yeah! 

He always tenses up when he gets excited. His whole body goes straight!

End of May Fun!

At the end of May, my sister Jodi moved from St. George to Boston! We were so sad to see them move far away. We were able to see them on their way out for a couple hours though and that was fun. 

We went to the zoo with my sister Kelly.

Jackson didn't like CJ's singing in the car so he covered his ears. He makes me smile.

Below is the first time Jackson ever painted. I can't believe we didn't do this before. He absolutely loved it!

Jackson loves to help CJ mow the lawn now. He borrows our neighbors toy lawn mower to follow CJ around. It is so cute!
