Last Week

Last Friday, Candice told me that Dallas was going to be racing MotoCross out at the Larry H Miller track. I told her we wanted to go. It ended up starting later than she thought and since she was on her way, she stopped at our house first. Cohen made quick friends with our neighbors and drove around in their jeep. He wasn't happy when it was time to leave. He was having too much fun.

Here is us chilling while we waited for the races to start.
My nice camera skills, I did a good job of cutting off Jackie's head. It was already dark outside and so our camera didn't work very well.
Here is Cohen watching Dallas at the starting line. Dallas did great and got the hole shot both times. It was fun to watch and I couldn't believe they had 4 year old's racing.
Here is what the track looks like.
Saturday we headed up to the U of U's Red and White game. It was a perfect day outside and it was fun to get out and watch their scrimmage. There were about 10 thousand people at the game, which is great since it is only a practice.

The Red team won. The Utes looked good and I am way excited for the upcoming football season. We went with Cory, July, Cayman, Cooper, Ryan, Amber, Luke, Logan and ended up sitting next to Uncle Steve and my cousin Spencer.
After the game we headed to the Johnson's for Tim's 30th birthday party. We had a good time there and then Jackie stayed for Girl's craft night with her mom, sister's and cousins.
Here are a couple of pictures of our front flower bed. The tulips started to bloom this week.

NCAA Tournament

This year they are having the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games here in Salt Lake. I was debating whether or not to buy tickets to the games. I thought it would be fun to go. I was talking to a friend at work and he said we should go. Anyway an hour later he called and said he had 4 tickets to Thursday's games. So 3 of us from work went and Jake's cousin.

Both games were really good. We saw a #1 seed get upset which was fun. The second game between Xavier and Kansas State was awesome. I think I read there were 13 ties and 17 lead changes during the game. It was really intense and went into double overtime. It was a lot of fun. Wish the stadium would have been more crowded though. Large crowds at sporting events always make them more fun.
Jackie took our nephew Tyler on a date while I was at the games. They went to California Pizza Kitchen and saw Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief. They both had a lot of fun hanging out and Jackie now wants to read the book that the movie is based off of.

On the way to the game I hit 100,000 miles on my car. I thought as long as I have the camera, I might as well document this momentous occasion. I have had this car from the beginning and have had many fun trips in it. Anyways I thought it was cool when it was at 99,999.....

And then 100,000

Shelves

We have a small storage room in our house and have talked about adding shelves for the last ten months, but have just never got around to doing it. So everything was just stacked in there. We finally got around to it this weekend and it looks a lot better. Here is the before picture.
Terry was nice enough to come up and help us. I'm not the best at this kind of stuff, but it's great that he will take the time and help me with these kind of projects.

And here is the after picture. It actually didn't take that long to build. It gives us a lot more storage space.

After finishing the shelves we went to Camille's ballet recital. They performed Swan Lake and they did a really good job. It's always fun to watch the little kids dance that have no idea what's going on and they just twirl and run around. Camille did an awesome job, we are so proud of her.

Spring Has Sprung

C.J. and I were getting home from a walk tonight and C.J. said, " Honey, Look! Our tulips are blooming!" We have about 6 that we are able to see coming through our terrible dirt! We are both very excited that they have started blooming and it was of course a picture worthy moment for us as this is our first attempt at gardening. We, and when I say we I mean I, have been anxiously awaiting their arrival. All that hard work we did last October will be worth it once our beautiful garden is in full bloom. I love Spring.....I just hope the snow that is bound to come doesn't kill my beautiful flowers.

Little Sahara Sand Dunes

Yesterday we went out to the Little Sahara Sand Dunes with Candice and Dallas. We had not been out there before and it was a blast. Cohen had his own four wheeling vehicle that he drove around the camp. Pretty crazy that a 2 and 1/2 year old already knows how to drive.

Dallas and Candice just bought this 4 wheeling thing recently and it is called a Razer. It was so awesome. It had so much power and was so much fun driving it around. I sure wasn't as adventurous as Dallas though when it came to driving. You will have to watch the video below.
Candice taking Cohen for a ride. Cohen sure loves this stuff already.
Dallas' friend has a 4 passenger Razer and it was their first time using it. All the guys that were there were worried that it wouldn't keep up and it sure did. That's Jackie in the front seat. She had so much fun and I was in the two passenger one with Dallas. These things go so fast. Dallas and I were hitting over 60 mph on his going down some of these hills and then he would make quick turns that were pretty scary.
Dallas on one of the 4 wheelers. There was a big group there and there were lots of 4 wheelers, motor bikes, Razers and Rhinos.
Jackie and Cohen hanging out.
Candice and Dallas also have a Toy Hauler, and we were inside getting warm. Cohen was having everyone pose for pictures. He was funny. It was fun hanging out in the Toy Hauler getting warm and just talking with family.
Here is the video of Dallas and I jumping off the sand dunes. I wish we had a better camera that you could really tell the distance we were jumping and how steep the hill was. I'm sure Dallas was going easy on me, but I was holding on for dear life. It's a good thing you can't hear me screaming. When we landed we are going over 50 mph and by the time we got to the bottom of the sand dunes we are going over 60 mph. It was pretty crazy. (I couldn't get the video to post, I'll try later.)

These pictures are from the beginning of the month when we went to Kenzley's baby blessing. It was fun to be with family and Kenzley sure is cute. Here she is with Grandma Vincent and me.
Here is Kenz with Jackie and I so you can see her pretty dress.

Skiing/Boarding with the Nephews

Yesterday I went skiing with Kyle and Payden at Brighton. It was a blast. We had a great time. The snow was perfect, it lightly snowed most of the day, and there wasn't any crowds there. We never had to wait to get on a lift.
Kyle and Payden were a little more adventurous than me and here are a couple of pictures of them jumping off a big rock. There are videos below as well. Payden's first run he stopped at the top but his next try came with a nice crash.

If you look closely, just right of the ski lift pole you can see Kyle getting some air of the side of the rock.
It was so much fun to get out and ski again. I am sure glad that I invited myself and the nephews let me come. Enjoy the videos below, it does take a little while before they show up in the video.
