Date with my Daddy to the Jazz Game

CJ has been getting tickets from his work for Jazz games. The tickets are on the second row right behind the basket. They are awesome seats. It comes with dinner and free snacks at half time. Usually CJ only gets two tickets, but this time one of his co-workers couldn't go so he got four tickets. We called my Dad up to see if he wanted to come with us and Cory to the game. I knew my Dad would love going and having such good seats would make it so fun for him. My Dad doesn't get excited for a lot of things, but he was really excited for the game. He was a little giddy, it was so fun watching him.
The game started at seven and we got there around six to eat. It was by far the best meal we have had there. There was roast beef, stuffed pasta, rolls that had shredded pork in the middle, and potatoes. It was delicious. We headed out to the game and watched the teams warm up for a little bit. At half time, we walked back to where we ate and got popcorn and drinks. We had a great time and it was fun spending that time with my Dad. He loved it!

Temple Square

We went to Temple Square the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was such a warm day that we thought it would be perfect to go because once it got really cold, we knew we wouldn't want to take Jackson to walk around. We went to dinner before at the food court at City Creek and it was insane! It was fun to walk around though.
My parents, my sister Kelly, Cory and July and kids came and met us to walk around Temple Square. My parents met us at City Creek and walked over with us. I thought this was so cute. My Dad leaned in to say hi to Jackson and Jackson grabbed his hand. This is how they walked from City Creek to the Church Office Building. It was so sweet. Jackson sure loves his Papa!

While at the very East side of Temple Square, Kelly gave Jackson some coins to throw into the water. He loved it and kept wanting to do it over and over. It is a good thing Kelly had so much change! He probably threw at least three dollars worth of coins.

We love walking around Temple Square. It is so beautiful and I love seeing the Temple lit up. I love that Jackson recognizes the temple now. We weren't able to see the Christus because there was a huge line of people to see it, so we thought we would come back another day so Jackson could see it. Jackson didn't really care about the lights. I thought he would get so excited because he loves the lights on our house, but he just sat in his stroller totally mellow. It did make it easier for us that he sat so well!

After Temple Square, we headed over to Macey's to see the decorated windows. They were so cool. I remember looking at the windows when ZCMI did it, so I was excited to see that tradition come back to downtown Salt Lake.

After the windows, we went to Farr's Ice Cream to get a treat before we headed home. It was a great night spent with family. Christmas time is my favorite. There are so many fun things to do and it is even more fun with Jackson.

CJ's Birthday!

CJ was going to be out of town for his birthday so we celebrated it on Sunday with his family. We just had dinner, cake and ice cream. Nothing fancy, but it was nice to see everyone and just hang out. The kids had so much fun together. Jackson loved being with his cousins.

It was a good thing we celebrated it before he left. I was so sick the whole time he was gone. My sister Holly and sister-in-law July took care of Jackson most of the week because I just couldn't function! It was horrible. So CJ had a very sad birthday sitting in a hotel room by himself. I didn't want to talk because I felt so awful and he tried to do face time with Jackson, but he was at my sisters and nobody answered. Next year we will make up for it though! We will do something really fun....maybe!

Snow!

Jackson was being so cute posing by our trees and saying cheese. As soon as I get the camera ready to take his picture, he doesn't smile and looks away! Little stinker. Good thing he is so cute!

It snowed over the weekend so we thought we would try taking Jackson outside to see if he would play in it. It took forever to get his coat on. He hates putting on any coat or jacket. Finally we just grabbed him and put it on so we could take him outside.

My Little Bug was so funny. He just stood there. CJ tried to get him to touch the snow and he moved away and didn't want anything to do with it.  He went inside the garage and grabbed the stroller. He just wanted to go for a walk instead. CJ was so nice and took him around the block even though it was so cold!

I guess we will try again next winter. We bought him boots this year and he has only worn them once. Hopefully they fit next year too!

Family Pictures

Our wonderful neighbor, Angalee Jackson, takes pictures and I really wanted to take get some family pictures done. She was kind enough to do ours yesterday even while not feeling well. I didn't think about Jackson being a little stinker. He didn't want us to hold him or sit still. He wanted to run around and explore. At the end of the shoot I thought we didn't get any good pictures of all of us together because Jackson was such a stink, but we actually got quite a few! I was so excited! Here are most of them for your enjoyment.
